Designer and Researcher who holds dear Climatic Just Transition. I know thing or two about Ethical Hacking. I also map how AI will change our work, society and epistemology.
As someone who went through this process, explained it over and over and guide many friends this thorny path, I see importance of this design challenge more than others. It inspired me to try to build similar service in Czechia.
550,000 people in England are waiting for an ADHD assessment.

But even after diagnosis, support isn’t guaranteed.

Move area, change GP or go Right to Choose/private… and you may be told to start over.

That’s not care. That’s chaos. And it happens all the time.

Not all ADHD diagnoses are equal. Right to Choose is a stopgap and shared care is patchy. Without join up and coordination many fall through the cracks, cut off from treatment and on a years long wait list to be re-diagnosed.

For example, the CEO of ADHD UK has had to be diagnosed 3 times.

I had an unsettling phone conversation with the local ADHD centre asking if I wanted to be assessed. This came over a year later than my diagnosis from a Right to Choose provider and as I was undergoing titration. To add to my distress, the caller effectively said that my outsourced diagnosis..

I can’t recommend @karenhao.bsky.social’s Empire of AI enough. She doesn’t shy away from telling the true story of OpenAI and all the harm that’s come from its pursuit of generative AI expansion.

It was a pleasure to dig into it with her on the podcast!
To dominate AI, Sam Altman knew OpenAI needed to scale faster than anyone else — regardless of the social and environmental costs.

This week @karenhao.bsky.social joins @parismarx.com to discuss Altman’s AI empire and why it must be dismantled.

We need publicly funded research institutes on AI misalignment like yesterday. Google doesn't have the best models or AI alignment teams. This is a significant global risk and will fall disproportionately on the global south.

Few days ago me and couple friends created group chat for sharing podcast gems that other might missed but shouldn’t.

Let’s make a thread for others in our circles! ☺️ looking forward to your tips.

- Využijte 5N: Nesuďte / Nezlehčujte / Nesrovnávejte / Nehodnoťte / Neskákejte do řeči.

love this about Claude 3.7:

When it repeatedly failed to get its code working, what it would sometimes do is edit the test to match its own output.

What a weekend, huh? Ok, new reality! Not just Russia even US want Europe divided and support particularises (far-right, ultra-catholic pro-life movement). I hope for coordinated European answer in terms of supporting Ukraine. It will cost us either money or much more money, honour and many lives.
Once again I am leaving the Munich Security Conference in a low mood. Amongst all the noise, the US signalled their plans for Europe, so things are becoming clearer. But things are clearly not good.
This is what we now know, and what we have to do about it:🧵1/17

I více aut v domácnostech.

With previous technologies, younger people launching startups had big advantages as they were outside firms & early users

In AI, they may not. Why? Because AIs produce good-enough work that novices can’t tell how useful they are or (as we found in our paper) risks & how AI fits into organizations.

o3 looks too expensive for most use (for now). But for work in academia, finance & many industrial problems, paying hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a successful answer would not be prohibitive. If it is generally reliable, o3 will have multiple use cases even before costs inevitably drop.
