Well, the police unions got what they paid for out of DA Vasquez. All of a two weeks’ worth of an investigation into the shooting of man who appears to have ultimately been shot while running away. Nothing to see here, folks.
Multnomah County DA Nathan Vasquez announced late Friday afternoon that he has determined a fatal police shooting of an armed suspect two weeks ago in Gresham was justified and didn’t break Oregon law. He made the determination at his own discretion. No grand jury was convened.

Basically, everyone has adopted uncritically this idea that the people who are leaving this county are those exposed to the PFA tax, which just isn't borne out by the data. Sure, some very rich people do leave, but they are outliers. Most people go to adjacent counties and are not exposed to the tax
