Another one from much warmer times, recording 'What Did the Blackbird Say to the Crow' in North Carolina. A welcome reminder that spring will always come again.

I hope you’re staying bundled up out there and enjoying time with loved ones.

When the shit hits the fan...

Labor always gives bipartisan support. Without fail.

Libs/Nats never do.

That's the fundamental difference btwn the two, policies don't define them, often they're similar.

What defines them is how they act in the worst of times.

Anyone who disparages the future of NATO or the importance of the American role in the alliance is strategically short sited.

My latest in @thebulwark.com
NATO is not an alliance that can be judged by a single election cycle or a single strategy document. It must be understood in decades. And over those decades, NATO has always pulled through periods of tension or "alliance fatigue." lnk.thebulwark.com/4pAE7qK
This Isn’t the End of NATO
There’s a reason every previous prediction of the alliance’s dissolution was wrong.

Absolute Champion.
I think award season is now over. Mean Streak just won the Walkley Book Award to cap it off and I’m so thankful. Buy or borrow, the story is more fucked up than you think.

Local manufacturer fills tiny home gap with regulatory certainty

A New England business is carving out a niche in Australia’s fast-growing tiny home market with a design that does something most competitors can’t promise: legal certainty.

While Gina/Advance/IPA/Murdochs/Faragists/preferential Pauline take over the Liberal Party, a big window has opened for more meritorious independents (think ‘teals’) to run in marginal LNP (and some ALP) seats across federal electorates. Libs may have signed their own death warrant. 👇

Governments are offering lots of State Funerals these days. I have always expressed regret that Ned Kelly did not get one. After all Ned always did what he said he would do and that is a rare gift in #politics. Modern Aussies would vote for him big time if he was around to run for #Parliament today.

Gosh how is it that Vic Police so closely policed the Nazi march yesterday except for the bit where the Nazis beat up unsuspecting Indigenous people? For that bit the police managed to turn up only after it was over and arrested no-one. Curious.

Last year John Pesutto, Victorian Liberal Party leader, kicked Moria Deeming out for being an anti-trans, far right, nutjob.

The party then sacked Pesutto and reinstated Deeming.

Today she has successfully sued and bankrupted Pesutto.

And this is why they hold 19 seats of 88 seats.

Dutton will lose his seat if labour voters preference the teal independent and push her up to second spot on the first preferences. If she’s third, dutton will retain the seat on preferences.

Vote strategically Dickson. Make it happen 🤞😂🤞
