I think it’s helpful in the fight against fascism that the democrats actually have politicians who fight. And that’s not just my view, it’s the view of the vast majority of registered democratic voters. Schumer and Jeffries don’t seem up for it

Lots of people need a theory of politics beyond “republicans bad, and democrats are unequivocally good.” It would actually help the Democrats win more elections. Both parties have high agency in what brought us to this moment of fascism.
