Honestly, I would be happy just to have some feedback.

Spend a proportion of what is spent on grants to fund reviewers' time to provide feedback on rejected applications. It would make the system more transparent and improve future applications.
all academic applications should have consolation prizes.

doesn’t have to be much, like a mug that says “i applied for leverhulme 2020”
or a t-shirt “UKRI reject 2023”

Some don’t understand that demonising refugees& asylum seekers is a red line for any healthy nation. As a group of people, like any other, they include the brilliant, good & bad, but labelling them as lesser humans undeserving of compassion, safety & equality is definitely bad for the whole country.
