I don’t think people outside of healthcare realize how much AAP is standing out as a moral backbone of medicine right now, especially in pediatrics. There is so much fear at institutions. Seeing an org directly and repeatedly targeted refuse to budge an inch is extraordinary.

The problem for the GOP is that the ACA marketplace is already the "if we are going to have a market for this stuff this is how you'd have to do it." You build on it, you go single payer, or you spend 15 years bullshitting. They are into on closing of reform in favor of the latter.
