I don’t know who this guy is, but he makes a good point about how important the rule of law and due process are. Imagine if a government agency dramatically disrupted an innocent person’s life without following all of the proper procedures. This guy would be outraged I’m sure.

This is why domestic "shuffle" flights between ICE detention centers have skyrocketed, much moreso than ICE deportation flights.
When you are moved to a different jurisdiction, you have to refile your habeas petition all over again. They want to wear people down so they'll give up on their cases.

Hardly the main point, but _acting_ ICE Director. They're doing all of this without even fully confirmed agency leadership, even with the Senate majority (plus feckless Democrats who will vote for anyone). ICE hasn't had a confirmed Director since the end of the Obama administration.
