This is the first Thanksgiving for Sophie & Colin Hortman without their parents, Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and Mark Hortman who were assassinated along with the family dog in an act of political murder. National guards troops were not deployed to the state in response.

Reporters need to ditch the word "taken" when writing about actions of government thugs.
The property wasn't "taken" by goons; it was STOLEN.

The issue with the new WH ballroom is not the destruction of history, but the grift. Electoral-vote has good analysis of the issue: not all donor names were released, the $ amounts were not released (how much influence for each donor&is there skimming?)

In 2025, violence has declined greatly on the right. It has increased some on the left. So for 2025, there is more violence from the left. But overtime there has been much more violence from the right.

Brigadier General Alan R. Gronewold, leader of the Oregon National Guard, says if they are called into service, soldiers will be instructed -- “One, to defend America, and two, to protect Oregonians. And so by serving in this mission, they will be protecting any protesters at the ICE facility.”
The Oregon National Guard general says if they were to be deployed, they would be instructed under his leadership to protect the protesters and not ICE

I am so so proud of these people. We're going to have to do this in many cities soon. ICE is purchasing rental space in many blue cities in order to stage their terrorism, including my hometown of Raleigh. We must stand up to them. That encourages others to stand up too! And that is how we win.
