The US is now officially committed (alongside Moscow) to interfering in European electoral politics to promote nationalist and anti-EU parties of the Far Right, from Reform in the UK to Marine Le Pen’s Rassemblement National in France to the xenophobic AFD in Germany. 5/

Fewer cars, better air.

Also, to be specific here (because it does matter) DeepSeek is *not* open source — it’s open _weights_ with the difference being that you can run it on your own machine with the code, but you don’t know what material exactly it was trained on. An important distinction, worth emphasizing.

We don’t talk enough about the importance of standard components in a greener economy. Engineers always say “but *our* design for battery/connector/module is 2% better than a standard one”, missing the point that it’s far worse for repair, reuse, recycling & minimising extra “stuff”. It’s maddening.
It’s time for THE charger.

Today, the USB-C becomes officially the common standard for charging new mobile electronic devices in the EU.

It means better-charging technology, reduced e-waste, and less fuss to find the chargers you need!

1/ Ok, so instead of just making jokes about the EU Reset, I wanted to do a very simplified thread on:
- what the actual problem is Keir Starmer is trying to solve;
- the options on the table; and
- why this shit is hard.

This will be very long. I'm sorry.

Let's get wonky.
