If our beliefs about the gospel of Jesus as Christians are somehow threatened by diversity, inclusion, equality, and the empowerment of others, we have deeply misunderstood the gospel of Jesus.

This is a very good article. The one challenge that isn’t mentioned is that in many of our congregations the bifurcated media ecosystem means that our parishioners are not operating with the same set of facts. This makes meaningful interaction more difficult.

Bad theology kills
"I was a stranger and you kidnapped and deported me". Matthew 25:35, as modified by Pastor Mike.
Q: Pope Leo cited Matthew 25:35 to critique Donald Trump's mass deportation agenda. How would you respond to Pope Leo in scripture?

MIKE JOHNSON: Sovereign borders are biblical and right and just. It's not because we hate the people on the outside. It's because we love the people on the inside.

The immanent contradiction of dominance masculinity is that it both claims absolute authority and strength and also cannot countenance even the slightest challenge.
We need to talk about the rise of "smol bean fascism" where you have all the guns and the immunity but the really scary people are the ones with whistles and phone cameras and they're giving you generational trauma and ptsd by filming you killing people for no reason

Matthew 25 tells us that when Jesus returns and judges between the righteous and unrighteous, he doesn't judge them based on their orthodoxy, their patriotism, or their individual definitions of morality.

He judges them based on their compassion towards vulnerable people.

In 2026, the repeated shootings of bystanders make Malcolm X’s warning painfully real: “Wrong is wrong, no matter who says it.” We live in a moment where authority, nationalism, and blind allegiance often overshadow basic morality.

If we’ve learned anything these past few years, it's that:

1) Workers keep America going, not billionaires
2) Corporate profits don't trickle down to workers
3) Poverty is a policy choice
4) Health care is a human right
5) Strikes work

Let's keep fighting for a better world.
