I took part in nationwide CND protests in the UK back in the '80s. In retrospect, those protests were so tame compared to what we're seeing now in the US, and in MN in particular. Unbelievable
Comics retailing legend Greg Ketter standing up to ICE in Minneapolis. Yes, that's tear gas. He's 70 years old.

"ICE will leave Minnesota if you hand over your voter rolls" tells you everything you need to know.

This was never about immigration or fraud. It was always about rigging elections.

Been thinking a bit about an old British sitcom I used to watch as a kid, Dad's Army, about a Home Guard platoon that would be on the frontline in the event of a German invasion across the English Channel. Such a funny show, though I guess I'm remembering it coz of the current doom & gloom #dadsArmy

In 2024 a friend who lived nearby asked me to look after her 5-month-old Zebedee whenever she went away and we have been bonding. But my friend just moved to SE Asia and Zeb now lives with her dad in another city so I don't know if I'll see the lil kitty again. He was cute #catsOfBluesky #caturday

Wow, @cheknews.ca. In this story about a cyclist being “hit” there is ZERO mention of any vehicle. All we apparently know is a cyclist was “hit” in an “incident”

Hit by what? Could be anything! Do better @cheknews.ca #yyjbike #yyj

Homemade refried beans are so good. Sauté half a medium-sized, chopped onion in some olive oil until slightly translucent, then add two or three cloves of minced garlic to the pan and stir until the onion is just beginning to brown. #refriedBeans #mexicanCuisine #mexicanFood

Went out for farewell drinks last night with a friend who's leaving soon for Southeast Asia, for who knows how long. Dropped by her place on the way home and discovered she makes lighter cases. Cute! #lighterCase #polymerClay

Opened the door to the back yard earlier, to see if the hummingbirds were at the feeder, and ended up making a new friend 😀 #deer #urbanDeer #yyj

Been meaning to get back into fermenting at home for the last few years and today's the day! Got the old French presses out that I've used in the past, they work well, so I'm looking forward to trying this batch in a week or two #fermenting #mushrooms #bellPeppers #chiliPeppers #onions #garlic
