Really bad news. And completely irresponsible given where we are.
Can’t decide who this is worse for, the EU or the UK. But the real looser, of course, is European defence. So all of us.

So sorry for your loss.
Like you, what I mostly want for Christmas this year is for it to be over.
It’s very sad that I lost dad this year but I’m glad that the big hoopla about Christmas doesn’t have to happen this year. The older I get the more the expectation and excess food seems unpalatable. It’s only my view. I get Christmas is a lovely time for so many other people & glad you enjoy it

Golden rule:
If you save 50% on something you were planning to buy anyway, you've saved 50% of the expenditure. Good deal.
If you buy something you weren't already planning to buy because it's cheap, you've lost 100% of the expenditure. You've been suckered.
It’s not a great deal if you don’t need it. And especially this year, others really need support. So for all of us who have enough, let’s refuse to get sucked into the holiday shopping frenzy and share instead of shop. We don’t need more stuff, we need communities where all our neighbors are safe.

Reform UK Party Ltd spent £700,000 on a 2-page spread — one page being just an image of Farage and the other a letter, meaning he spent £350,000 on pictures of himself.

The average UK house price is £272,000.

Also, the ‘full English’ is badly photoshopped on — it's tiny!

Kemi Badenock should check her facts. The early Church was the conduit for providing and channeling welfare to the poor. And no, I'm not a Christian or anything else.
So much for love thy neighbour...

Badenoch is wrong.
In late Roman and early Christian Europe - the social and civil/military structures morphed from one to the other - the elites of state/church earned status or religious credit by giving help to the poor. Ask @profaliceroberts.bsky.social
There was no state. Who does she think crucified him, an anarchist collective?

Is it any surprise that the Welsh leader of Reform (former UKIP MEP) having taken money from the Russians, that now they are investigating the Scottish UKIP leader (from that period) for the same offence.

When the record shows you voted against every measure meant to help working people—what do you do? What do you do?

When stories about your ties to Russia won’t disappear, what do you do? What do you do?🤨👇

Wealth taxes may not raise as much money as some predict, BUT it's not just about the money is it? It's what a most people regard as fairness in the taxation system and #socialjustice
The country wants a wealth tax on assets.

They're panicking because "won't the rich just leave" has been utterly debunked.

They've got no actual argument.

Well, they're getting so many things wrong recently they might as well blow re-election, too.
Listening to a podcast suggesting Starmer wants to go for an election before mid 2028

Which is *crazy*

Why?

Because it’s before a US election that will likely be incredibly dark, and will see Farage’s US friends and allies doing things will go down very badly w/UK voters

This is an outrageous act of sabotage. Dartmoor’s commons are virtually treeless already, due to centuries of overgrazing by sheep. The culprit must be found:

#Labour fully deserve all the criticism they are getting after reneging on their promise to protect the environment with their #build-baby-build approach in the Planning and Infrastructure Bill. #shame on them.
The attacks on Labour from BBC News are now so relentless, day after day, minute after minute, putting headline negativity on absolutely anything they say, or do.

Are they now the official opposition?
