🚨BREAKING

😳 The Wall Street Journal is reporting there is a whistleblower complaint so sensitive against Tulsi Gabbard that it is locked in a safe and the Trump Administration does not know how to notify Congress about it.

This scoop deserves a lot more views.

“The flurry of awards for bravery, ethics & integrity, and outstanding service were quietly approved … last May, more than two years after an inquiry slammed the force for failing to stop the gunman during a 13-hour rampage.”
New from me on substack: RCMP quietly gave awards to officers in N.S. mass murders. Mounties came under fire from inquiry for multiple failures during 2020 rampage.

CBC news readers: It’s pronounced KAH-Nay Corso, not CANE Corso. It’s an Italian breed so that would have been the clue to look it up.
(Sadly in the current context) Cane means dog, Corso translates to guardian. dictionary.cambridge.org/us/pronuncia...

Pretty much all the headlines on the Maduro story use “captured” as the verb. It only makes sense in the context of indirectly quoting Trump, which most are doing. This is very bad. If you are writing headlines, ask yourself: “Am I whitewashing clear violations of international law?”
The US struck Venezuela and captured President Nicolas Maduro, who was taken out of the country, President Trump said. It is the first such direct intervention by the US in Latin America since the invasion of Panama in 1989 reut.rs/4qsMC72

Two hours after this was posted (just before 7 a.m. AT), there’s just one (Toronto Star). What a commentary on newsroom staffing.
If you want a sense of the state of Canadian news gathering right now, I don't think any Canadian news sites have a story up about Venezuela

I don't give a DAMN what your political inclinations are, behaviour like this is completely and utterly unacceptable!

Grow the hell up!

Uderstand that there is a time and a place to express your displeasure. A Remembrance Day Ceremony honouring our fallen is neither!!!

In the middle of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, Canada 1) contracted to buy missiles from an Israeli company and 2) planned to send Canadian troops to Israel for training on how to use them.

Absolutely unconscionable and an egregious violation of international law.

Canada is poised to join the data centre boom. But as such projects face greater scrutiny around the world, there is little debate here about what this will mean for the country’s water.

Since much focus lately seems to be on who should or shouldn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize, I’ll say that the Palestinian journalists who have reported from inside this war zone, this genocide, for the past two years , tirelessly and at grave personal risk, deserve every award on the planet.
BREAKING: Prominent Palestinian journalist Saleh Aljafarawi has been killed by gunmen in Gaza City’s al-Sabra neighbourhood, making him one of more than 270 journalists killed since Israel’s war began in 2023.
