Pretty much all the headlines on the Maduro story use “captured” as the verb. It only makes sense in the context of indirectly quoting Trump, which most are doing. This is very bad. If you are writing headlines, ask yourself: “Am I whitewashing clear violations of international law?”

Since much focus lately seems to be on who should or shouldn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize, I’ll say that the Palestinian journalists who have reported from inside this war zone, this genocide, for the past two years , tirelessly and at grave personal risk, deserve every award on the planet.
