Happy to have another excuse to write about Final Fantasy 11, which recently broke in the exact right way to force its Games Masters into doing something extremely funny:
After a server glitch, Final Fantasy 11 is dispatching Game Masters to manually assassinate bugged monsters just so the game knows they're really dead: 'God personally stepping in to correct the world...
Sometimes there's only one way to be sure.

Given that a few older Final Fantasy titles dropped on GOG today, I imagine this re-release will coincide with a "Good Old Game" sanctioned version going live on there too seeing as there's actually no trace of VII on the platform otherwise, let's just hope that doesn't bring a price hike with it...

Played the tutorial and realised that this is not for me in the slightest. Weird amalgam of like 30 different noteworthy FPS games that somehow won't appeal to anyone despite trying to appeal to everyone.

Swear to god they made Rental Family specifically for me. Wept multiple times throughout. There's a deeply heartfelt David Byrne needle-drop and Brendan Fraser plays a bloody All Japan Pro Wrestling game on the damn Dreamcast for crying out loud!
