I've read this story a few times since it was posted. It is some really excellent reporting and evocative writing that shows just how a drug price can get so out of control and the damage it does.
Cancer drug Revlimid is one of the bestselling pharmaceutical products of all time, with total sales of over $100 billion.
It’s also extraordinarily expensive, costing nearly $1,000 for each pill, even though that pill costs just 25 cents to make.

Labour's internal polling must be showing a flood of their voters going Green.
The normal thing to do (according to so-called political wisdom) would be to barely acknowledge the party exists while taking and neutering enough of their policies to peel away support.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

I can't speak for what was said at the protests, but seeing people react to an anodyne statement like "sacred spaces should not be used to promote activities in violation of international law" as if it were a vicious slur is clarifying.
