Riot Fest daily lineups are out and I'm cautiously optimistic that THIS will be the year that the bands I want to see are not booked against each other. Also, The Beach Boys? Weird Al I get, but. Really?

It appears that my new hobby is arguing with anti-tax local government candidates on FB. The concept that government is not a business and the parks district doesn't need to maximize revenue to become tax-neutral shouldn't be shocking, and yet here we are.

I am gratified to find that my "we will collectively make sure that those who think they've won will live to regret it" prediction seems to be half the country's quarterly goals.
A fantastic example of 'Sometimes resistance is just being annoying as fuck.' Not a single moments public peace ever. No fun vacations, no nice meals out, no uninterupted shopping. No beach, no theme park, no tourist town should be enjoyable for them for the rest of their lives.
Fox News reported that JD Vance had to move to an “undisclosed location” due to protests at the Vermont resort where he’s skiing this weekend. For inflicting misery on the world and here at home in America, this is exactly the energy that should greet Vance wherever he goes for the rest of his days.

Spent the afternoon downloading my digital libraries and (finally) deleting everything but my bare-bones digital presence on the hellsite before attending a training to update on immigration law. Spotted a lot of books from Verso to move to the top of the TBR pile, so at least it was productive?
