Massive shoutout out to whoever handles the Royal Canadian Air Force’s social media account. They responded to every single comment on their already very solid Trans Day of Remembrance post and they responded like this…

Todd Snider obituary (NYT gift article). Effortlessly poetic, funny, witty, complicated, sometimes troubled. A human who bared his humanity.

This is fascinating. The Venn diagram of lived experiences of disabled folk & older folk overlaps a lot, but generally, older folk are reluctant to identify as disabled. As one commenter said, it’s part internalized ableism-the fear of being less valued & perceived as burdensome.

I saw Keith Dyck at Belle's, Stanley County Cutups and Telepathic Butterflies (Neil fest) at Times Changed, fought through a Santa Claus Parade, and am home in my sweats before 6pm. That's a winning day 🙌

It's a musical day kicked off with a bang. Keith Dyck, one of my local faves for 35ish years, always brings it. Watch for him at Belle's Kitchen.

My son’s band “We’re Only Here For The Snacks” is on the front of the Globe and Mail Arts Section! Thrilling.

Their album “Missed Our Stop” is out Nov. 21 and release party is at the WECC on Nov. 23.
This is a great story - young folk finding joy in writing, performing and sharing music, bucking against the screentime. And Winnipeg’s We’re Only Here For The Snacks is featured! @julespenner.bsky.social

In Canada, large businesses hiring a bit more, but small/medium sized businesses are starting to shed employees. Tough trend overall for jobseekers.

Thank you @droussin007.bsky.social, Dr. Peter Pomart, Kathleen Bluesky and moderator Dr. Angie Bruce for a great panel session “Economic Reconciliation: A Model for Shared Prosperity”. A lot of food for thought. It’s all about relationships (one big takeaway).
