I saw Keith Dyck at Belle's, Stanley County Cutups and Telepathic Butterflies (Neil fest) at Times Changed, fought through a Santa Claus Parade, and am home in my sweats before 6pm. That's a winning day 🙌

It's a musical day kicked off with a bang. Keith Dyck, one of my local faves for 35ish years, always brings it. Watch for him at Belle's Kitchen.

In Canada, large businesses hiring a bit more, but small/medium sized businesses are starting to shed employees. Tough trend overall for jobseekers.

Thank you @droussin007.bsky.social, Dr. Peter Pomart, Kathleen Bluesky and moderator Dr. Angie Bruce for a great panel session “Economic Reconciliation: A Model for Shared Prosperity”. A lot of food for thought. It’s all about relationships (one big takeaway).

I looked at it yesterday - the grey map is the boundary map from the city site, darker grey being within limits. data.winnipeg.ca/City-Plannin...

I’m in Brandon helping with Social Role Valorization (SRV) training, so thought I’d check out the Paula Cole concert tonight. I thought she was great - in full command of her amazing voice. There’s currently a $20 offer for her show in Winnipeg tomorrow/Oct 22. It would be money well spent.

Huh, I thought Costco was expanding in Winnipeg - I didn't think we'd lose St. James. There are much bigger issues--bummer I'm losing one close to work though.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I just found out today when I came across his grave site.

I had no idea that Ted Longbottom had passed away until I came upon his grave site during a walk through Balsam Bay Cemetery on Lake Winnipeg. I remember him as a very gifted songwriter and storyteller. Rest in peace.
I figured @fpkevinrollason.bsky.social would have posted about him.

For those wondering: it is the newly released covid vaccine. They just got it in, so made it available as little early.
September 28, 2025 at 6:15 PM
I actually went back to get details since I was still out and about. They just got it in Friday and so are rolling it out a little early.

Juvel put on a great show at the Garrick Hotel bar tonight. It's a cool venue.
Hot club swing with Andrews Sisters twist and a dash of Argentinian flavour.
