Note to local law enforcement who cooperate with immigration enforcement operations.
Though federal officers can’t be sued under civil rights law, which only apply to state officers, @aclu sues them here as *conspirators* with state officers. (It was a joint task force.) Individ plaintiffs also sue under Federal Tort Claims Act.
