Before the SWW, Japan mass-produced high-speed tankers of around 10,000 gross tonnes and 20 knots.
These were called Kawasaki type oilers after the shipyard, though this was not their official designation.

Continuing with this streak of armored car posts: White-Laffly AMD 50s of the 44e GRRF (Groupe de Reconnaissance de Région Fortifiée/Fortified Region Recon Group) in September 1939. The obsolete AMD 50 served small numbers with the 44e GRRF, operating in advance of the Maginot Line near Thionville.
