Here in the US, we have so many mass shootings (400 this year) that we barely pay attention to them.
In Australia, shootings are rare. But antisemitic attacks have been on the rise – homes graffitied, synagogues burnt – as they have around the world.
We must not become numb.

I found out my grandpa passed last night while I was at my work holiday party. At the same moment the text came through, someone was passing out shots of aguadiente. It’s not sambuca, but it’s close enough, I know it was him telling me goodbye.
