The editor of Holyrood magazine muses whether women need to pass purity tests to be considered ’victims’. No. But you do need to uphold professional standards to be considered a ‘nurse’ and not being a racist bigot is the bare minimum. Mocking flood victims in Pakistan is disgusting. 🔽

It’s also worth noting that the Venn Diagram between people who act like this, and people who are against progressive candidates like Mamdani is practically a circle
it’s 32 months before super tuesday 2028. if you’re shrieking IT’S TOO IMPORTANT & YOU PEOPLE ARE WHY WE LOSE at marginalized folks unsettled by potential candidates saying “i’m open-minded about sacrificing certain human rights,” may i suggest you redirect focus to telling candidates to get better?

I think the words “pure evil” are interesting. Is it pure evil to attack someone physically and verbally based on their identity? Is it pure evil to kill them on such grounds? Going off our courts, if you’re a man it’s not. But defending yourself as a trans woman? Oh that’s evil.
