So... cutting taxes; giving tax breaks to landlords; the iRex ferries contract-break fees; scrapping tobacco levies...

...none of that was affordable!?

And Nicola Willis still blames the previous govt - even though she's BORROWED MORE than Grant Robertson ever did?!

This person is inept.

“Paul Goldsmith had purposefully omitted some disallowed measures from the Crimes Amendment Bill, in order that they could be added back in as an addendum by the Justice Select Committee, in order to dodge the usual rules about what is allowed.”

That's "Willis math"
Two things:
First, cleanup of Stockton Mine has cost the govt $260m (The Press).
Second: at their highest, coal royalties were $3.6m a year.
So at best, Bathurst & Talley's would have to mine Denniston coal for 71 years for the government to break even

Can someone tell me what Labour’s position on this attack on all our privacy is?

If they’re not outright opposed to it, how much of that is because their Medicard proposal is also an ID requirement by the back door?

Mark Mitchell is complaining on social media that Coster is relitigating the Jevon McSk disaster?

Relitigate? Does he know the meaning?

This is 1st time we’ve heard Coster’s side of events?

We have heard plenty from MM prior to today, even about Coster. I’m grateful for the other PoV.

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

"Never spread the lie in the headline" should be a hard rule of 21st century journalism.

Research shows that repeating lies helps to spread them, and people read headlines more than they read stories.
News media has to do better with headlines that present false and unverified public health claims.

Every right-wing “grassroots”organisation in New Zealand is just Jordan Williams, David Farrar, and one randomly-selected Atlas Network apparatchik in a trenchcoat
There's a new "grassroots" website automating supportive emails to Erica Stanford / signatures on an open letter endorsing her attacks on te Tiriti and you have until the end of this skeet to guess who registered the domain name
