A completely unnecessary, senseless tragedy in service of a political stunt. These guys should have been home with their families for Thanksgiving, not in DC to appease the whims of a mad king.

Just an FYI: generic products are great! They’re typically white label manufactured by the name brands and generally speaking they’re cheaper because there is zero marketing and fewer SKU’s.
This is doubly true for OTC medicines which have to meet the same standards.

Much like “bringing back coal” it’s unlikely there will be any legislation on this, and even if there is automakers aren’t going to remove these features because 1) buyers want them and 2) they are not cost drivers in an era of SDVs that basically all come with the necessary hardware anyway.
