When Democrats propose a bill limiting the President’s power to deploy National Guard troops on US soil they should name the act after the guardsmen who tragically lost their lives today because of Trump’s capricious decision to deploy them to DC for no good reason.

A completely unnecessary, senseless tragedy in service of a political stunt. These guys should have been home with their families for Thanksgiving, not in DC to appease the whims of a mad king.
NEW: The governor of West Virginia says that two members of the state National Guard shot today in DC have died.

Just an FYI: generic products are great! They’re typically white label manufactured by the name brands and generally speaking they’re cheaper because there is zero marketing and fewer SKU’s.

This is doubly true for OTC medicines which have to meet the same standards.
Fuck these arrogant millionaires who have the gall to tell ordinary Americans upset about high food prices that they should just substitute lower-quality generic food and quit complaining.
Hassett: "On one of the Sunday shows, the anchor criticized the fact Walmart said the Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper by about $10. Then he said, 'Oh yeah, but they substituted generic stuff,' as if having a generic something is a crime for ordinary folks! It shows how out of touch these people are."

*he says to guy who works in tech and has an AI patent*
An anti-tech left is not left, sorry bud.

Simple as that.
Says the guy who conflated "technology is how we achieve socialism, communism, post-scarcity" with “all technological progress is good akshully”
November 26, 2025 at 4:12 PM
“We must have a surveillance state to achieve socialism” is a truly wild argument lmao
Just wait until these folks read about nearly society that's tried to achieve socialism.

(they've almost all had some form of surveillance state)
I’m no Marxist but the argument that all technological development is good because “technology is how we achieve socialism” is one of the more asinine things I’ve heard this week.

Please, explain how the surveillance state is key to achieving socialism.

Neat neat neat, love to watch a supposedly progressive movement be against progress.

Love how every foundational text to leftism, including Marx's own writings, says "technology is how we achieve socialism, communism, post-scarcity", but now some entirely-online anonymous shitposter knows better.

There’s so much here but bragging about your cognitive abilities and saying “one” instead of “won” is very funny, as is his use of capital E “Energy” given we know he views himself as a battery with a finite amount of it.

He’s losing his lizard brain instincts.

Either it’s clinical or he’s simply lost his edge.
Trump choosing to attack fighter pilot & astronaut hero (with family of sacrifice to US) was an absurd choice from a person who is obviously loosing what it was he used to have.
What a week and it’s only Tuesday. See me on Jimmy Kimmel tonight to talk all about it.

Much like “bringing back coal” it’s unlikely there will be any legislation on this, and even if there is automakers aren’t going to remove these features because 1) buyers want them and 2) they are not cost drivers in an era of SDVs that basically all come with the necessary hardware anyway.
Exclusive: Republicans plan to challenge vehicle-safety mandates, such as automatic emergency braking and alarms that remind drivers a child is in the back seat.

"Unusual" is a weird way to spell "communist"

Forced nationalization of private enterprise is literally Soviet-style communism. These days, we're more likely to call this "state capitalism" in the mold of China, but those firms weren't taken over by force or the implied threat thereof (afaik)
The Trump administration is trading billions of dollars of taxpayer money for ownership stakes in companies. The unusual practice shows no sign of slowing.

All you need to know about this list is it includes a stand up comedy special as a “comedy movie.”

You’re welcome.
The movie listed at #1 is so incredibly misplaced that it calls into question the veracity of the entire list. It belongs on the list, yes, but SO MUCH further down. An absolute, credibility-wrecking flub. Boo, @variety.com! Boo!
