Allowing AI to execute code on your computer is, uhh, an absolute fucking disaster...
"Microsoft warns that Windows 11's agentic AI could install malware on your PC: 'Only enable this feature if you understand the security implications.'"

bro what--
what are we doing here, exactly, how can you--anyone be okay with this?

I really hope that as a society, we can agree that people who engage in any kind of friendly relations with a pedophile mob boss like Epstein are the scum of the earth and should be cancelled and jailed. At an absolute minimum. The bar is in *hell*.
But also maybe they should ruin his life?

A guy asking Epstein for advice on how to sexually harass a junior colleague knows exactly what Epstein was and was clearly OK with it. I am frankly OK with someone ruining his life.

Evidently it ought to have happened decades ago.
Larry Summers is 70. Firing him is not ruining his life.

Gotta make a plug for Cocoa Banana in Pioneer Square.

Super cute cafe! Had their soup and smoothie this morning, both were really good, and they were playing Pink Pony Club and other 🌈 music 🥰

NEW DATE! Learn about plans for light rail to West Seattle & what upcoming Sound Transit Board discussions mean for residents at this Forum w/ @transpochoices.bsky.social, the 34th District Dems, WS Chamber, CM Saka, @kingcounty.gov Exec. Braddock, & @sound-transit.bsky.social CEO Constantine!

I want everyone to look at this video from @alexis4seattle.bsky.social for inspiration.

She frequently celebrates wins - and not to brag, to promote!

This builds momentum. Progressive revenue passing in Seattle makes it easier to pass on a state level!

This is going to be difficult in an exciting way!

We've spent the last 10 years under Mayors and city leaders who, with some awesome exceptions, did not listen to or care about our goals. Plus, we are not skilled at celebrating our wins.

Now we get to have more wins but we must also market them.
Seattle — Now that we have electeds that listen to left urbanists, we have to be clear about what we want & be very loud so they have political cover. We have to make sure media hears us so electeds respond to us. Next 3 years hinges on being very active at council. Election was only the beginning!

Home Depot isn’t getting any more money from me.
As Bovino and masked DHS officers sweep another Home Depot looking to round up day laborers, a reminder of the meeting in May when Stephen Miller screamed at ICE to stop doing targeted enforcement, start hitting Home Depots and 7/11s and “just go out there and arrest illegal aliens.”

It was great to see the @sbworkersunited.org picket line on 15th Ave today! Reminder that Starbucks workers are *on strike* and also we live in a town with like 1000 coffee shops, so don’t cross that line!

World War II simply could not have been won without the efforts of Black soldiers.

One critical example: The men who drove the Red Ball Express, one of the most incredible feats of logistics in human history that allowed the allies to advance through France at speed.
Removing a monument honoring Black US soldiers has nothing to do with DEI. It’s erasure of history and it’s straight-up racism.

This is one of the most important yet least told stories in Seattle over the last 5 years: the steady scaling back of transit service, even as we expand light rail. We need to bring transit back closer to more people.
Seattle used to fund so much transit service until covid (and jenny durkan)

In 2019, almost 75% of the city lived within walking distance of a bus every 10 mins or better. Today, it's only like 50%!

Time to get the buses running again!

We could do this!

Fast mail doesn't have to be by plane!

Does your package really need to get there in 2 days? Or would 4 days suffice!
it's not TGV Tuesday but it's come to light that not all of you know about how La Poste ran high-speed mail trains until 2015

I am begging America to not be stupid enough to embrace a racist and an antisemite because Donald Trump thinks she's a meanie. Just grab some popcorn and watch the Nazis fight.

As a cybersecurity professional, I can tell you that these big brother spyware mandates by universities are 100% power trips by narcissistic IT staff who demand absolute control. None of them have a meaningful impact on security.

You should name the IT staff and campaign against them.

Good evening, Transit Riders!

With the election over, I thought I'd release this video I made and (thankfully) never had to post!

Concise explanation, concrete CTA, very minimal editing, under 2hrs from thought to finished product.

As the writer and videographer for @tech4housing.org's top attack reel, I can tell you:

Corporate PACs are now as much of *liability* as they are an asset!

I welcome the rich of Seattle to keep burning money on them. We'll turn their donors into videos like this:
