Hey, if you're sick, don't go out in public unless you absolutely have to.
Don't go to concerts and get other people sick.
Signed, I've had the flu since Sunday night and am getting tylenol and ginger ale delivered to my house. 🤒

Neil Gaiman attempting to sidle back into public after being buried in a pile of nauseatingly well-documented sexual abuse allegations is gross. Doing so by denying everything, linking to some guy's substack post, and limply teasing a new novel is so gross it's kind of funny

It's the kind of word that should have lost its charm even for name-calling once one aged out of middle school *in the 1980s* and there is no excuse for it now. To use it as an adult is to put a flashing sign reading "I Am An Asshole With The Mentality Of A 12-Year-Old" on one's back.
If I see you use this word, I'll block you. If you use it "satirically" I'll block you. Using it at all today is a really fine test of character.

I've had some of my books edited because I used it twenty years ago and I'm ashamed today of having used it.

May his retirement be very, very long and may he never sleep more than an hour of it. May he wake up sweating to find his only company is the silence of vengeful ghosts.

Also may a Minnesota tick give him a red meat allergy, because he seems like the type who would absolutely melt down.
BREAKING Greg Bovino has been removed as Border Patrol "commander at large" and will return to El Centro Calif, where he is expected to retire soon. A stunning turnaround after Pretti killing. Bovino's traveling blue city crackdown is over www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

🖋️ “Congress Must Deny Funding for ICE in the New Budget Resolution” hit 3,000 signers!

💬 Text SIGN PJNONG to 50409
Congress Must Deny Funding for ICE in the New Budget Resolution
Text SIGN PJNONG to 50409 — As you negotiate the remaining appropriations for Fiscal Year 2026 before the end of this month, I urge you to oppose any budget resolution or continuing resolution that continues funding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in its current form. Recent events make clear that ICE is no longer functioning as a lawful, accountable immigration enforcement agency. Its operations have escalated into violence against civilians, widespread constitutional violations, and an alarming politicization of federal law enforcement. These actions have not improved public safety. Instead, they have destabilized communities and undermined democratic governance. In Minnesota, large-scale ICE deployments have coincided with fatal shootings, repeated use-of-force incidents, and sustained unrest. Rather than accountability, the federal response has included threats to invoke the Insurrection Act, preparations for deploying active-duty military forces domestically, and criminal probes targeting elected state and local officials who publicly opposed ICE operations. At the same time, federal authorities have refused to open an investigation into the ICE agent who killed a civilian during an enforcement action. Senior administration officials have repeatedly provided contradictory or demonstrably false public statements about ICE practices, denied the use of chemical agents despite video evidence, and dismissed documented misconduct as a matter of “optics.” This pattern reflects an agency operating without transparency, oversight, or respect for constitutional limits. Importantly, opposition to ICE’s current structure is no longer confined to one ideological wing. Elected officials who previously ran on tougher immigration enforcement now state plainly that ICE has become a politicized, militarized force that cannot be reformed through additional funding. When even those voices conclude the agency must be torn down and replaced, Congress should listen. Congress has both the authority and the responsibility to act. The power of the purse exists precisely to prevent executive abuse and to enforce accountability when federal agencies violate the public trust. Continuing to fund ICE without dismantling and replacing its current structure would signal approval of violence, retaliation, and the erosion of civil liberties. I respectfully urge you to deny funding for ICE in any new budget resolution unless Congress first acts to dissolve the agency as currently constituted and replace it with a humane, civilian immigration enforcement system grounded in the rule of law, due process, and constitutional protections. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.

🖋️ “End the Killings: States Must Unite to Stop Lawless ICE Operations” hit 5,000 signers!

💬 Text SIGN PQZSKS to 50409
End the Killings: States Must Unite to Stop Lawless ICE Operations
Text SIGN PQZSKS to 50409 — On January 24, 2026, federal immigration agents shot and killed Alex Jeffrey Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse and U.S. citizen, on a public street in Minneapolis. Multiple verified videos show Pretti holding a phone, not a weapon, as agents pepper-sprayed him, forced him to the ground, disarmed him, and then fired repeatedly into his body. This killing followed another fatal shooting by federal agents in Minneapolis just weeks earlier. Together, these deaths represent a terrifying escalation: heavily armed federal agents operating inside American cities with little regard for civilian safety, constitutional rights, or local authority. State and local officials in Minnesota have condemned these actions. Governors and mayors have warned that federal enforcement teams are acting with impunity, obstructing state investigations, and refusing to cooperate with lawful oversight. This is not law enforcement—it is a breakdown of accountability. While immigration enforcement is a federal responsibility, states are not required to accept federal actions that endanger residents, undermine public trust, or interfere with state law enforcement and judicial processes. State governments retain significant power over cooperation, access, and authorization within their borders. I urge you, as a state legislator, to act immediately and in coordination with lawmakers across the country to form a unified response. Specifically, I ask that you: • Join with other states in formally opposing the continued deployment of ICE and related federal enforcement operations that have resulted in civilian deaths. • Adopt or support resolutions asserting state authority over cooperation with federal agents and rejecting operations that violate constitutional norms or public safety. • Protect the right of residents to record law enforcement activity in public spaces without fear of violence or retaliation. • Call on your governor to work with other governors—across party lines—to demand the withdrawal of ICE from states where its presence has led to bloodshed. Governor JB Pritzker has already called on governors and legislatures nationwide to stand together against what he described as lawlessness inflicted on the states. That call should not stand alone. When federal power is abused, the Constitution does not demand silence—it demands action. No American should be killed for filming law enforcement or helping another person off the ground. No state should be forced to tolerate federal agents who operate above the law. Unity among the states is not only justified—it is necessary. Please act now to help stop the killings and restore accountability.

Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.
