Across America and the world, people are realizing it’s not possible to appease America’s dictator.

The only way to deal with him is to stand up to him — and the only way to stand up to him is by joining together against him.

It's time for a massive general strike across the country.

Bernice King has it absolutely right. We are facing a moral crisis in this country. And we must all act together to end it.

The official policy of the government of the United States of America is that they will murder anyone they want, that they will tell any lie necessary to justify that murder, and that no one who resists them has any rights they are bound to respect.

Hey, as we all watch the dementia-addled psychotic president of the United States ramble incoherently on a global stage, I'd just like to say on behalf of all Americans:

Our bad.

Pew Research Institute (2023):

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

An important fact about Trump is that he hates to fight.

He loves to bully and dominate, but in a situation where he is facing someone who can hurt him back he bluffs, bargains, and then runs away.

Given the actions of ICE, we the people claims this flag In the spirit of the American Revolution, and our commitment to human and civil rights. We invoke the purported conservative principles of small government. We draw upon our historical tradition of leading the fight against authoritarianism,

It takes a sound strategy of incremental gains girded with will & perseverance. That is an approach that requires a mature pragmatism. The question is whether that can be summoned from a population whose thinking is simplistic enough to be termed childish.
If we are going to take Democracy back it is going to be done playing the same long game the Republicans used to take it from us to begin with. Unfortunately we seem to suck at playing the long game.

Frost: For so long, the right wing has held up patriotism as a vibe, as an aesthetic. But patriotism is more than bald eagles and flags and beer. Patriotism is about loving the people who live in the damn country — every single one of them.

We can start with the fact that a sizeable number of Americans are ignorant of our history. How many natural-born Americans do we think could pass the exam required for immigrants to become citizens? I know one guy in Washington who would definitely fail.
If there’s one thing the last ten years has taught me, it’s that most Americans have zero understanding or respect for the lessons of history.

The urgency has shifted. Epstein matters for accountability, but a government justifying the murder of American citizens...NOW...using labels...instead of evidence...poses an IMMEDIATE structural threat. One is about past crimes. The other is about present power and lethal consequences.

Appeasement is submission.
Note to the entire world: Stop trying to manage Trump. Stop trying to work with him. He betrays everyone. Always. He is irrational. Erratic. The only way to stop his damage is to stop him, contain him, isolate him, reject him, stand up to him. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

For those who have forgotten the past 40 years:

Tax cuts for the rich
...don’t trickle down

Boosting military spending
...doesn’t bring peace

Slashing regulations
...doesn’t create jobs

Folks, we’ve seen this all before.

We are a country whose Constitution, according to the Supreme Court, gives our own presidents immunity for crimes committed while in office, but we will prosecute presidents of other countries for alleged crimes and invade them to execute arrest warrants.
