I have not refused to acknowledge that real Christians do bad things, I grew up seeing that. I'm saying that these particular "Christians" are deliberately misrepresenting their beliefs to gain political power. Don't you see that?

Call it the New Inquisition if you will, or just read The Handmaid's Tale (I'm sure you have) for a preview... it's nothing new, it's the same old barbarism in the name of Christ (who preached love, understanding, charity, and forgiveness).

Well, I disagree obviously when I say they are "fake" they mean the rules apply to YOU, not to them. Christian Nationalism is dangerous not because it wants to grow and spread (all Abrahamic religions do) but they feel justified in using the power of gov't to impose their own law and punish dissent.

I can understand that. But you can be a bad Christian in your own life without imposing your bad-faith religious views on others, like these bozos are doing!

Whenever your favorite restaurant chain (or even less-than-favorite “old standby”) turns to shit or shuts down, the answer is always “private equity.”

These are core tenets of Christianity that come directly from the testimony in the Gospels, regardless of their origin. THEY are the ones who claim to follow Jesus. All I'm saying is they need to put their money where their mouth is.

Fair enough. I am not really interested in purity tests, but for these people to call themselves Christians while demonstrating they’re unable to follow even the most basic teachings of Jesus (Golden Rule, help the needy, turn the other cheek, welcome foreigners etc.) is a dead giveaway!

Actions speak louder than words. I'm no longer Christian but I was raised in the Catholic faith. I have had Christian friends tell me that they consider me to be more "Christian" than these hateful, racist homophobic charlatans. 😇
November 26, 2025 at 11:45 PM
You're not wrong, but when self-described "Christians" don't practice what Jesus preached, I consider them fakes/frauds/hypocrites. They want to be seen as faithful by others. It's about status for them. Actual Christian values don't seem to enter into the picture!

Whenever you see a quote attributed to Mark Twain, Albert Einstein, or George Carlin, it's prudent to fact check! 😉

You simply calculate the number of calories you took in, then divide by 100 and that's the number of hours to wait until you eat again. So... [does math] March?
