Gratifying outcome. His contempt for ACT Government process was outrageous
Walter Sofronoff loses appeal against ACT Integrity Commission. He was found to have given confidential material to Janet Albrechtsen of The Australian, & a copy of his final report to her & ABC's Elizabeth Byrne before it was officially released. #auspol www.abc.net.au/news/2025-12...

Thousands upon thousands of kids in the bush are scrambling to access courses ect they could do online for free. Dance troupes that rely on YouTube live to practise together. Ect ect.
Now there are no safe regulated sites and kid rating will get removed and we are all fed to AI predators.

Totally agree
This was never about under 16s. This is about data harvesting the OVER 16s information. And handing it to whoever asks for it.

This needs to be an foi question: who has access to this age verification data?

I read this and I knew. Took me a couple of tries, as halfway through I couldn't read through tears.

It gets better from here

As the silly thing at the end of the GI Joe cartoons always said: "Knowing is half the battle"
I was maybe 47 when I first read this article, and it cracked my head wide open. I was a "gifted" kid, and here was this article explaining in black and white EXACTLY why my adult years were a wreckage of failed jobs and relationships, when I had held SO MUCH PROMISE AND POTENTIAL

It's been a ride!

After multiple burnouts, in my early 30s I finally knew why life sometimes felt harder for me. It made perfect sense, so why had no one noticed before?

It’s time for my annual thread of Australian poetry books you should buy ppl for Xmas. No one buys poetry partly cos it’s intimidating. It rarely makes xmas book guides. But poetry is an ethical gift that: supports underfunded writers; wins brownie points with gift receiver; improves the human soul

Youngest rang me because 'find my' on her iPhone showed her Dad's phone was in rural NSW but his car keys were at a hospital. 'What's going on Mum?' Um, Dad's gone off on his new motorbike & I'm using his car to see my GP. Why are you tracking us? "Our phones are linked" #TheBanWontWork

Bruce Lehrmann has lost his Federal Court appeal against his failed defamation case. He continues to maintain his innocence. The High Court is his only option left. Will he go back for his hat, his coat AND his umbrella??

Bruce Lehrmann is running out of courts to continue his legal battle
With his defamation appeal dismissed and legal costs rising, Bruce Lehrmann is almost out of options. A High Court bid is possible, but what would it take to get there?

5 years ago, Youngest broke my cooks knife trying to separate frozen chicken. I was devastated but didn't tell her because she wanted to explore cooking & I didn't want to make her feel bad. I've finally found someone who can fix my knife. Let's see what he can do with this disaster. #cooking

I guess I now have to do a thread on shoes in ancient Mesopotamia in response to this (which happens to be from one of my favourite accounts).

I’m not an archaeologist, nor do I really know anything about shoes, but let’s go on this journey together.
can't believe this ancient mesopotamia shoe wearing ass said people need to dress up at the airport
