As an advocate for the rights of people with mental illnesses, I am extremely upset by the 1950's cartoon portrayal of mental institutions. This undoubtedly comes from Trump's sick and ignorant mind, but it echoed throughout the media. I urge you,

Yes, the GOP controls Congress. That's why it's key to show Congress COULD stop the madness. And it's not just the DHS bill. Congress could repeal the prior multi-year $75b for DHS; set up a special investigative committee (cf. Watergate); amend the Insurrection Act; etc.

NEW: I was one of 3 reporters granted access to the convening of 600+ clergy in Minneapolis this week.

It was a striking show of solidarity with MN clergy resisting ICE, but heralded something else: the emergence of a vast, faith-based network trained to resist ICE. religionnews.com/2026/01/23/i...

(RNS)— Hundreds of clergy from around the country gathered in Minneapolis to learn from Minnesota faith leaders how to protest against ICE enforcement. Then they took to the streets and helped block t...

A man with an autoimmune disease had to marry his best friend to have health insurance.

This isn't the first time this has happened.

Marriages and delayed divorces are often tied to health care access.

I try to avoid hyperbole when it comes to Trump policies, but this is absolutely frickin’ insane—on about eleventy different levels.

Massive, systemic Fourth Amendment violations because … reasons.
ICE secretly told its officers that any time someone has been ordered removed, ICE can break down their door.

It has been accepted for generations that the only thing which can authorize agents to break into your home is a warrant signed by a judge. No wonder ICE hid this memo!

We sued the Trump admin 30 times since the inauguration.

Most of our lawsuits are still in court.

But in many of these cases, we have succeeded in stopping, or at least reducing, the damage that Trump is inflicting on our nation.

And we will not stop fighting!
