Dr. Harriet Rice, the 1st Black woman alum of Wellesley College, earned her MD in 1891. She worked with Jane Addams at Hull House & was a researcher at Columbia University Medical Center.
During WWI she served in France as a military physician & was awarded a medal by the French government.

We finally got the weather we should be having this time of year. Snow! Wind! Freezing temperatures! I don't want to hear one complaint from any Minnesotan about it. Snow has stopped now and will probably be gone in a few days at the most unless Nature offers us a heavier blanket for winter.
