JFC. Dunning Kruger is an epidemic.

Almost nothing is tested against "inert placebo" because we have a thing called "non-inferiority trials", meaning they are required to be NOT WORSE than the existing treatment. Because all modern drugs would be more efficacious than placebo.

If anything, statistics is clearly not hard enough.
I am going to avoid QTing as the intention is not to dunk. However complaints that stats is "too hard" and there should be tools to automate it miss the mark. Stats is a profession that requires hard work, like most others. They ARE hard. That's why you partner with experts.

I took care of numerous kids with fulminant hepatitis B in the 90s before the switch to getting the first vaccine at birth. I don’t recall having one since. I do not miss caring for that disease.
