The uptick in the downloads of X and the fact that the Irish government refuse to do anything about it shows the attitude to sexual violence hasn't changed since the Catholic Church ran a pedophile ring here. I think the #twitter CSAM fiasco is the first time the government has so visibly ceded an area of law to big business. Of course it's been happening quietly for years but this marks a turning point of something so obviously illegal just being ignored by lawmakers in case it upsets the US. #speirgorm

I don't generally like saying stuff like this because it's generally bad for how we engage with politics, but it very difficult to conclude anything other that our government is deliberately protecting the worlds biggest child and sexual abuse material producer

It didn't take me long to realise data centres were on the same electric grid as me. Regular cut offs of supply last year made it pretty apparent. When you have disabled neighbours who need electrical aid to get in and out of bed you can't help but get angry. And now they want to build more to [1/2]
