Breaking news: Trump is citing “national security” to halt all active work on offshore wind projects

Five giant energy projects, countless jobs at risk

My story explains how the argument has legal weaknesses and comes from an anti-wind policy doc I reported in January
Trump Uses ‘National Security’ To Freeze Offshore Wind Work
The administration has already lost once in court wielding the same argument against Revolution Wind.

Here's a quick hit on why Trump's obsession with Venezuela's oil is a bit heavy and crude in a world where the US is a net exporter and the concerns are a lot more about peak demand than peak supply. responsiblestatecraft.org/trump-venezu...
Trump's Venezuela oil obsession doesn't make sense
The president accused Caracas of 'stealing' the commodity and vows to take it back. First, we don't need it, second, invading for it would be a blunder.

So proud of this. The musical novelty center in my brain mostly shut off like clockwork in 1994. So well into the 2000s, I would say things like “i just discovered these amazing new bands - Wilco and Radiohead. Have you heard of them?”

So Roberts & Gorsuch questions will be extra interesting.
Today will be a test of my theory that the Federalist Society did not spend years and millions to elevate judges who believed in deregulating everything a corporation does only to have them fold to a government that believes in regulating everything a corporation does that happens to cross a border.

Term premium is the added compensation that investors demand for fear that appointees to a nominally independent central bank might withdraw or be fired on some pretext before the end of their term.
