The Govt says that young adults who cannot get a home because it's policies mean there's no cost rental or social housing should live with their parents and agree to perform “household chores”... “not only will it lighten the workload for your family, but it will also help you feel more independent”

The problem is that the Irish government parties are ideologically incapable of taking the actions necessary to solve the housing crisis. They know how to fix it, but they won't, waiting instead for the "market" to do it for them, which it never, ever will.

Asylum seekers have told of how they were followed by men on motorcycles before being subjected to an alleged attack in rural Co Dublin yesterday.
The incident – which saw the young men beaten and their car windows smashed – has been condemned.
