The transport investment plan is out, it looks to fund all the projects we have come to know over the years.. No new investment in Luas, bar the 4km Luas Finglas line.

My 4th year students present projects on decarbonisation of transport at 10am. They have lived experience in how far we have to come: I got a 7:20am email from a student whose 6:53am bus didn't arrive, meaning they won't make it for 10am. Happy World Sustainable Transport Day.

At a meeting on Friday I was reminded of how much work we need to do in Ireland to modernise and upgrade our existing rail network. Looking at the statistics, you can see how much work we need to do to even get to the EU average of approx. 57%.

I joined Drivetime on RTE yesterday to talk about the new delivery agency for Metro. Hurdles in delivering the project are still ahead, but for the first time it feels like we are getting into the mind space of this is happening & lets get on with it. Call me optimistic
