Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

This is worth watching to the end.
Mubashir and his family came to the United States as refugees from Ethiopia when he was a child, and they all became naturalized citizens in 2019.

Despite being a U.S. citizen, Mubashir was targeted by ICE, assaulted, and detained. Listen to his story:

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.

The person in the passenger side of this vehicle was brutally arrested — and appears limp at the end as four agents pick him up by each of his limbs — simply for the crime of trying to fill up with gas at a gas station.
Earlier today, Border Patrol arrested a man in the parking lot of a gas station in St. Paul. They busted out his drivers side window, ultimately dragging him out of the car, pulled him to the ground, and dragged him into one of BP's SUVs.

This is f*cked up!

There isn’t any law in this country that requires you to provide proof of citizenship on the interior, but unfortunately ICE is racially profiling.

And they don’t care if you say you’re a US citizen.

So where does this leave everyone? If you don’t look white, you’re in danger.

Credible community networks report ICE knocking on doors in St. Paul & demanding “papers.” The U.S. is not a show-your-papers country. YOU Do NOT HAVE TO OPEN THE DOOR, answer questions, or show documents without a judge-signed warrant. Ask to see it through the door. No warrant, no entry.

IE: they don’t do traffic, etc. impeding traffic is not a penalty ICE can enforce against

So she moved, and they shot her multiple times? Then Noem and Trump branded her a domestic terrorist. Does everyone see how absolutely insane that sounds?

Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act doubled support for the largest farm subsidies while cutting SNAP funding. That disconnect broke the bipartisan political coalition that once passed farm bills, and a comprehensive farm bill may never pass again.
Why 2026 could see the end of the Farm Bill era of American agriculture policy
Farm bills – famously complex legislative and spending balances between farm subsidies, food assistance, conservation and more – have tended to be passed about every five years since 1933.
