So I'm curious if any of my mutuals can beat me for the nerdiest thing ever collected, cause I just found my old collection of library cards. When I was younger my family travelled a lot and every time we were somewhere for longer than a week I would try to see if I could get a library card there.

Had to go to a seminar on AI today. The big name speaker they had was way too full of wide eyed optimism for me (spare me from people who describe technology they don't understand as "like magic!"), but the tools they introduced were actually pretty interesting.

Horror movies need to stop making their villains something cool like a witch, who I just wanna make friends with so we can hang and curse people together. We need more horror movies where the monster is something truly disgusting, like a giant hairy worm that's also a billionaire.

The novel I'm reading right now is pretty average overall, but on the subject of grief one character remarks that "Bereavement is never one stormy outpour, but a lifetime of dampness" and somehow that really resonated with me.

The local squirrels have realized I can't do shit to them through my bedroom window, so now I think they have some kind of contest going on seeing who will be the first to give me a heart attack by suddenly jumping on the window sill when I'm least expecting it.
