In the video in the post, you can see that the officer can clearly get out of the way of the vehicle, at first doesn't, pulls his firearm and continues to shoot as the driver has already driven past him. bsky.app/profile/bnon...

Recently, SMRT mentioned that they were studying whether to upgrade or replace the CCL's oldest C830 trains.

These trains are now Singapore's oldest fleet without major upgrades, still largely in the condition they were in when the line first opened in 2009.

Worth mentioning to see the travel pass adjustments in the context where LRT3 will be opening soon, which will expand the coverage of travel passes (eg day pass) significantly

Instead, the adjustments should kick after the opening of LRT3, rather than fixing it on Jan 1

After the frenzy surrounding the RapidKL travel pass changes, I made a table to quickly compare the changes from 1 January 2026 onwards

Most notable changes includes the introduction of a new monthly pass for foreigners and making the Student Concession Pass Malaysian-only:

New on the blog! A new future-proofed unofficial diagram of integrated transit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia that just really, really good.
Submission – Unofficial Map: Klang Valley Integrated Transit by Eco
Submitted by Eco, who says: I made this redesign of Greater Kuala Lumpur's rail and BRT map this summer for an competition, given their official map feels unusually sloppy . I'd love to hear your thoughts. Transit Maps says: Oh, I do like this! A sleek, modern diagram that's future-proofed up to 2032 with the inclusion of the planned MRT Circle Line (line 13).

I didn't even notice this because the project was completed ahead of schedule. Earlier this month, the Hong Kong MTR completed installing platform screen gates to all legacy East Rail Line stations. Now all stations on MTR heavy rail network has platform barriers.

Instead of making SMRT pay a fine, how about a day of half price or free train travel for commuters instead, like what's done in KL and Sydney?

Maybe even drive Simplygo adoption by making this only applicable to Simplygo users (so no old cards)
