every UBI experiment the US has ever conducted has been an enormous success and has increased both productivity AND employment rates. there is no reason not to do it besides a desire to punish poor people for being poor
A UBI would create a revolution for the ordinary worker because it would give them power to not put up places that abuse them or intimidate them. Its time for an UBI , there is no time to waste in my opinion. Sick of politicians unwilling to move towards new ways of doing things .

You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test

Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs)

Good tech.

Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales)

Bad tech.

This isn't mine, and I can't definitively find the original source. But I love this little bit of wisdom:

"If you're a fifteen-minute walk from a coffee shop, but the server there has to drive an hour to get to work, you don't live in a walkable city. You live in a theme park."
For all the fearmongering about capital flight from New York City, there’s an exodus few want to talk about: working people.

Sky-high rents and outrageous child care costs are already pushing families out of the city they keep running.

That’s what we have to change.

This seems like a maliciously put headline to make people feel a certain way.

Wikipedia is not partaking in generative AI. They are making AI companies and scrappers having to pay for training their modules off wikipedia texts. And having an AI (not that ai) tasked with updating dead links.

the year is 2036. a guy who rapes children to death daily has been assassinated. President Trump has made a new law saying that anyone who doesn't go to the funeral and suck the corpse's dick will be killed and eaten by ICE. anyone who says this law sounds in any way odd is immediately fired

I made a Chrome extension that swaps Times New Roman for Calibri on every site or just .gov. It also had Open Sans and Open Dyslexic, because f**k these people.

I’m waiting for Google’s approval for it to install automatically, but you can download it and install it in 90 seconds. Instructions 👇

Game Awards last year took place during a videogame strike against AI

The strike wasn’t mentioned or acknowledged despite many VO performers working on the games that are heralded every year and even appearing on stage

This year a game that features AI voiceover gets a podium to accept an award.
studios using AI for voice acting sucks
