The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

Also before anyone comes for me for not feeling bad, my empathy tank is empty for people who wouldn’t reciprocate that empathy to others who don’t look/think like them. In his eyes, I’m not even a person- just someone to be subordinate to a man and have babies. My compassion has limits.

All I want in life is for someone to be so inspired by something I make that they create something of their own. Even it's just one person, one fan art, one fan fic, or even something more original. To know I have had an impact on someone's life like that... it would all be worth it 💚
