$170 billion for immigration/border enforcement

$3.5 trillion in tax cuts for the wealthy

$40 billion to bail out Argentina

And now a $7 million for a *Super Bowl commercial*?

Budgets and how we spend our money are about priorities, and Republicans aren't prioritizing you.

A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade
The judge pointed to a letter from Bondi to Minnesota that tied federal immigration enforcement to demands for voter data as the smoking gun.

Leading American companies — including Palantir, Deloitte, and private prison giant GEO Group — raked in over $22B from ICE and CBP contracts last year.

Do not forget who is profiting from cruelty and human suffering.

Our founders, though deeply flawed, understood that democracy requires an informed citizenry and a government accountable to it people. That’s why the press is the only profession protected by the Constitution. It’s also why autocrats and oligarchs seek to control and destroy it.

⛓️CONCENTRATION CAMPS & INCINERATORS—D.H.S. is setting up a huge network of camps. They are converting the U.S. as a region for ‘expeditionary military deployment’ & no-bid no-public-comment contracts to build a “ghost network” of 10,000-person concentration camps. Jesus. Thread 🧵

This isn't about "training issues." The murderer who executed Renee Good has been with ICE for 10 years, and according to DHS, the murderer who executed Alex Pretti has been there for 8 years.

These aren't "new recruits," or officers that can be "retrained." ICE can't be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Maybe he should ask Ghislaine Maxwell if he can borrow hers. She's had no trouble getting one. And she’s convicted of her crime, not just accused.
