Listening to and enjoying Ink & Oil by Storefront Church on a recommendation. A new artist to me and I'm getting John Grant vibes which isn't a bad thing.

SORRY.
Longterm fan + they just get better. Pretty graceful in its way + the melodies are minor chord wonders that nobody is gonna cover but they fit the band like a glove. The sort of elegantly fragile that is way harder than it looks.. One of my favourites records of the year.

I was less than enthusiastic on this BITD. Unclear why. The uberdrilled econo Backinblack/Eliminator production is very much my thing. Anyway I like it now a lot. What a band tho. I enjoyed my time hanging out with them a LOT. Long, long nights. Bad behaviour good times.

SISU 2
More hardcore than the first one. Killing Commies not Nazi this time. More gruesome and less tongue in cheek too. More bullet in cheek too. What happesn to yr man is a tad too closer to torture porn. Darker, then. But very enjoyable.

New Storefront Church cover incoming. This time it’s Duran Duran. The definitely not pop The Chauffer. This song really fits Storefront’s ambitious art style.
