So many people who take on high profile roles in the world turn out to just be dumb assholes. It's hard to watch sometimes.

The Atlantic has long since shown its shittiness but now the full stupidity of authoritarianism is creeping in to boot.
The @theatlantic.com accused Canadians of "treachery" because Global TV aired the documentary on Trump's crimes.
Fascism doesn't just happen, it is made possible because of the complicity of the media and intellectual class.
Canada isn't treacherous. We have backbone.

So. RDJ is back. Chris Evans is back. Next up: Scarlet Johansson and Zoe Saldana? Are the folks at Marvel committed to recreating the worst excesses of the reboots, but at scale?

The things that are in existence in this article are grunt work, not ideas. The things that are ideation are nonexistent.

Grunt work in the sciences is hard and expensive and it's great to have better tools to do it faster and cheaper.

America, you have spoken loud and clear: You do not like AI. But what if AI is the way to restart the world’s idea machine?
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

Hi new Twitter refugees! I’m a game publisher at @koboldpress.com and an occasional designer.

I’m currently working on an Open Call for new TTRPG designers, which will be part of the upcoming Night Hunters project. #ttrpg

Readers loving Shesheshen and Homily has filled my life with brightness.

But the truth is, a lot of really honkin' good books never get published. Wrong day, wrong editor, wrong mood, wrong breakfast. The lack of virtue in the system is why it's so important to lift up writers who touch your soul.
I mean, it helps that it’s really fuckin’ good.

The closer we get to 2035 and 2050, the more empty promises are presented for what they were.

Words are cheap, pledges about policies ten election cycles in the future are proving to be worse than useless.

Watching the Friday Night Lights tv series, and it is almost unfair how someone can both look like Adrianne Palicki and be able to carry so much dramatic heft on her shoulders.

The Disney app for LG tvs is to be the worst media player I've ever had to interact with. Every few episodes watched the entire app starts stuttering and blacking out the screen while playing.

I keep wanting to say something, and I keep not knowing what to say.

The trans community does not harm cis people by existing. They are just trying to live their lives, same as anyone else. That life doesn't look exactly like mine; my life doesn't match anyone else's. That's okay.

Canadians, it's not too early to call your MPs and demand that they support trans rights too.

Danielle Smith has already invoked the (cursed) Notwithstanding Clause in our constitution to try and negate that.
“call your congresspeople and beg them not to sentence trans people to death” is a regular feature of our politics now and it fucking sucks

As much as I admire Hank Green for his incredibly broad suite of work and accomplishments, I have to say I don't think Zonderia's a great addition. "Rich/popular guy uses wealth/popularity to redirect money to charity" is a sweet story, but in 2025 we know it's not always as nice as it seems.

This isn't the first time she's done it, but I just can't get over Susie Wiles making a talking point of how she can run Trump because she's had to mollify an alcoholic father.

There is so much going on there very much including dramatic irony at a level you rarely see outside of Greek tragedy.
