A lot of people get confused when they hear that ace people can desire sex, and it stems from conflating desire with attraction
As a sex neutral/favorable ace, I don’t use the terms “desire” and “attraction” interchangeably.
Here’s why. a 🧵

Never going to stop shouting about this. You need to buy trans books now. Especially in hardcopy or DRM free formats.
Don't say "it'll never happen." Look around. It's already happening.

On that note:
Trans authors (I mean authors who are trans, NOT cis people who write about trans people), drop your book links here and I'll try to repost as many as I can throughout the day.
Cis people: Repost trans authors' book links.

Being a trans author is fucking weird right now. Hell is actively unfolding all around us but I still need to be like, "hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book? It won't make anything better, but it's kinda fun?"
So....hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book?

Although I thought this was already obvious, it's good there's actually a scientific study to back it up

There’s a caveat to this.
Indie authors HEAVILY rely on KU and Amazon to make their books accessible. Some people can’t sell directly and keep stock.
Bookstores don’t really or at all have indie books and ESPECIALLY by marginalised people.
I wish we would think about this #booksky #blackbooksky

A reminder - don't use Amazon, but go to bookshops, which play a far more vital role in promoting literacy just by simply making books more visible, and allow you to find things by chance rather than by what the algorithm decides.

Do you hear the doggos sing
Singing the songs of hungry pets
They are the voices of the puppies who have never ever been fed
When the tapping of the paws
Matches the pounding of the drums
Best 30 seconds of the day when the dinner comes!

Despite patriarchy's persistence, growing numbers of men believe they have it worse off than women. And, new research shows this "male victimhood" ideology is most common among men who aren't facing hardship. Which means what they're really feeling is status loss. 1/

Male victimhood ideology driven by perceived status loss, not economic hardship, among Korean men
Research published in Sex Roles suggests that male victimhood ideology among South Korean men is driven more by perceived socioeconomic status decline rather than objective economic hardship.
