After watching the second episode of Celtics City, I bought and read a copy of Bill Russell’s first memoir and wrote this piece on how the absence of anything resembling his voice is felt in today’s NBA, and throughout the country: www.theringer.com/2025/03/11/n...
The NBA Is Desperately Missing a Voice Like Bill Russell’s
While history repeats itself in this country, modern NBA stars have stayed silent. Maybe it’s unfair to ask so much of athletes, but it wasn’t too much for the greatest champion in NBA history, who do...

Nuzzi's fawning coverage of the sociopathic conspiracy crank she was having an affair with aided his rise to political power, which he is using to perpetrate the worst intentional public health catastrophe of our unnecessarily shortened lifetimes, and THAT is the STORY.

AJ Dybantsa doesn't drop his R's, will never be played by a Wahlberg and wasn't raised in Southie, Charlestown or inside a Dunkin Donuts. Can he be the new face of Boston?

I wrote about a very good basketball player and a very complicated city for The Ringer.

Oso Ighodaro was +52 in 26 minutes last night. That's the third best plus/minus on record by someone who logged fewer than 30 minutes in a game

For far too many families, the cost of childcare is driving them out of the city they love.

New Yorkers deserve to be able to afford to raise families here.

i’m starting to think pete hegseth can’t grow a beard
Hegseth: "We don't need to be a military of beardos anymore. Do you know how many troops claim to be Nordic Pagan? No, suddenly it's become this real fake religious affiliation inside the Pentagon where troops came to be Nordic Pagan so they can grow a beard and nobody challenges them on it."

if i was a consultant for the nba my advice about all-star weekend would be "stop making people think hard about stuff that doesn't matter"
So to sum up the All-Star Game selection process this season:

24 All-Stars
12 from each conference
Positions don't matter
16 US players
8 World players
2 US teams
1 World team
8 players per team
If there are not enough US or World players then Adam Silver will select more to fill out the teams.
Looks like NBA just revealed the All-Star Game format this season. Two teams of American players and one World team. Same selection process for the All-Stars but they will not be picked based on position. So positionless All-Stars selections.
