Knicks move to 11-6 and 2-1 in group play for in-season tournament by beating Charlotte by 28.

If you’re into the cup, big game on Friday against the Bucks at MSG.

Brunson and Hart were great in the win.

Happy thanksgiving

Somehow the Knicks only lead the Hornets by 23 going into the fourth

Knicks are running Charlotte off the floor at half.

Brunson cooking. Deuce cooking. Bridges cooking. KAT cooking. Hart cooking.

The latter had three 3s. Wrote about his shooting today:

Knicks offense is H U M M I N G
November 27, 2025 at 1:02 AM
END OF 1Q; Knicks 37, Hornets 31.

Good offense from New York, led by Brunson. 20 points in the paint!

Opposing teams still shooting too comfortably against New York from deep

Then a series of steals after I pressed send
So far, this starting lineup is struggling like you’d think defensively and the offense is doing well like you would have thought

Assuming not setbacks, sounds like best-case scenario given the circumstances/how bad it looked. Knicks can afford to wait a month for Shamet to return. His deal is guaranteed in January.

Shamet is averaging 9.3 points and had been one of the best on-ball defenders.
Landry Shamet (right shoulder sprain) will be re-evaluated in four weeks, per league sources.

Shamet made the team in training camp, is on a non-guaranteed deal. Had a really good start to season.

Unfortunate for him and the Knicks.

Thanks for all the Knicks questions for the mailbag.

Here’s what’s inside:

— Do they “need” to address front court depth?

— Josh Hart’s first convo with Mike Brown

— what if Shamet is out a while?

— more

Hart won defensive player of the game.

Brown said that he loves that Hart talked after last game how the defensive issues was a mentality thing and then went out and provided that energy.

“That’s what leadership is about.”
November 25, 2025 at 3:15 AM
Mike Brown: “One of the things we keep talking to our guys about is making sure we’re physical defensively and do it without fouling.”

Said they did a better job in second half.
November 25, 2025 at 3:12 AM
Brown is emptying the bench with about three minutes left.

Much improved second half by the Knicks. They'll move to 10-6 on the season. Charlotte next.

Brunson and KAT filled it up, Josh Hart brought the juice defensively. Good cameos from Clarkson and Kolek, too.
November 25, 2025 at 2:52 AM
KAT with 37 and 12. His night might be done soon after the spill and a 17-point lead. Still seven minutes left.
November 25, 2025 at 2:43 AM
I was about to say KAT looks to be in real, real pain.

But after 45 seconds of lying on the ground and squirming, he jumps right up with a slight limp.
November 25, 2025 at 2:40 AM
Some good defensive possessions by Kolek here in the fourth. Did a good job of guarding Powell one-on-one, leading to a miss. Just took a charge in transition.
November 25, 2025 at 2:36 AM
KAT, after hitting a 3, got a steal and tried to toss an oop to Yabusele. Yabu missed the layup.
November 25, 2025 at 2:29 AM
END OF 3Q: Knicks 89, Nets 75.

New York was able to get some 3s to fall in that quarter, KAT remained aggressive getting to the cup.
November 25, 2025 at 2:25 AM
Knicks starting to pull away now, up 14 after a KAT 3.

Josh Hart's activity defensively and on the glass has been huge tonight.
November 25, 2025 at 2:11 AM
The Knicks went 3-14 from 3 in that first half.

Over the last two weeks, not including tonight, they’re shooting 34% from 3 (which ranks 19th in the NBA during that span) while ranking fifth in attempts.
November 25, 2025 at 1:49 AM
Knicks led by as many as 12 and looked like they might put this one out of reach, but now they only lead by three going into half

Nets played last night in a tight game against Toronto. Knicks been on road since last weekend.

Towns: 17p (hasn't taken a 3)
Brunson: 15p
November 25, 2025 at 1:41 AM
Knicks finding some juice, led by Josh Hart on the defensive end and KAT being aggressive attacking the rim. Kolek with some nice plays on offense.

Knicks lead by eight.
November 25, 2025 at 1:23 AM
END OF 1Q: Nets 26, Knicks 24. Ugly hoops all around.

Brunson with 9 points.
November 25, 2025 at 1:09 AM
Quietly, Josh Hart is shooting over 42 percent from 3 in November on 3.6 attempts per game.
