Please if you are not a writer or newsletter publisher, do not crusade about the evils of Substack at people trying to make a living in a dying industry. It’s not by shaming and browbeating that things will change.

Part of me really does not like the people who ask for evening workshop sessions because they do not buy them, lol — sticking with the DATA now & forever

U.S. citizen detained by ICE:

“…they finally told me that they could offer undocumented family members of mine legal protection if I have any…or money, in exchange for giving them the names of protest organizers, or undocumented persons. I was shocked, and told them no.”
just a reminder that we aren’t even seeing the worst of what is happening in Minneapolis from someone detailed at the Whipple Federal Building yesterday

The far-right is completely delusional if they think that video exculpates them. Immediately after shooting her, the ICE agent calls the woman a 'fucking bitch' as she crashes and dies. This is absolutely insane. I don't think the administration understands the consequences of this
i just watched this video and the fact that they believe this to be exculpatory is genuinely insane

New York Young Republican Club gala draws white nationalist, far-right Germans as elected officials skip out
The annual soiree took place as young Republican groups across the country are reeling from POLITICO’s reporting on a racist and antisemitic chat group among prominent leaders.

I'm just seeing this, but I've also lost a bunch of folks since leaving Substack. It sucks to see them proven right, but I'm confident things will turn around as I find more readers who aren't all-in on the walled-garden app experience.
Full disclosure: I’ve lost nearly 40 paid subscribers since leaving Substack and this newsletter is 2/3 of my income. If you want to support an independent trans journalist, this is a great way to do so. bit.ly/ooylsagseaso...
