Even a simple like on a compliment can be enough! If you aren't in the mindset to reply, then don't! A like is a good indicator that you acknowledge and appreciate some kindness toward your work, even if you aren't feeling particularly kind toward yourself in the moment.

Even a simple like on a compliment can be enough! If you aren't in the mindset to reply, then don't! A like is a good indicator that you acknowledge and appreciate some kindness toward your work, even if you aren't feeling particularly kind toward yourself in the moment.

This is like an awful reboot of Half Baked but instead of blue collar stoners it’s tech bro grifters whose Big Idea is what if we turned everything into gambling where we’re the house but I make it sound like some kind of philosophical altruism. Which was sorta the scam of the WeWork guy too.

It rocks to tell people their shit rocks. Every single person who has ever been nice about my work has been appreciated for doing so. I take time to say I love stuff and it’s always the right time to remind somebody you value their work! You don’t need to get into detail either. Just say it rocks
I’ve sometimes fallen into the trap of thinking that complementing a creative person for their work is less sophisticated or desired than discussion or debate about it but very often the best thing you can say to them is hell yeah and that doesn’t make you dumb it just makes you nice

i made the mistake of making too much carrot tarator (the actual mistake was eating some of the carrots while i made the tarator and finishing the leftover yogurt and then also having like two servings of the tarator itself when i was done making it)
