I have always enjoyed flower painting and here's a couple of older ones from the '80s, sold a long time ago. These images were scanned from film photos taken by me before they were sold. These would all have been picked from my garden.

People keep wondering why they're going after Venezuela. It's because they want to do regime change and control its oil, then use a big tract of land there to keep a tax free "network state" that looks like Dubai but operates like Rhodesia. They are saying this out loud! Believe them!

Another on-the-spot watercolour (with pen work) from a sketching trip to Winchester in 1997. I regret parting with this one though I hope the buyer is still enjoying it. This is typical Winchester with the cathedral in the background. See Alt text for more info.

Nature’s Advent Calendar continues to open, one small wonder at a time. Today it’s a fairy purse, full of seed money! Made from the silvery seed pods of Honesty (Lunaria) — tiny purses with silver linings, gathered from the wild world and tucked into my fairytale. #WildFairytale #ClothOfNature #Art

This is the second time I have photographed one of my favorite Mycena species - this one is found on leaves and has regular water droplets along the stem for a reason which remains a mystery to me.

From the Chocó Andino region of Ecuador.

A fungus photo a day: The same Cortinarius vanduzerensis/webcap young (taken Dec 3) and grown up (taken yesterday). Don’t miss the drips of rain on the adult. This particular species apparently only grows in the PNW. Love the purple stipe/stem.

I haven’t posted about this subject yet, but it is so deeply concerning & frightening that it’s almost overwhelming. It’s also getting such little attention in the media. For reasons unknown.

But the TL/DR of it? Basically, Canada is Ukraine to the Trump regime’s Russia. #cdnpoli #CdnNatSec

A male rock ptarmigan (Lagopus muta) in winter plumage.

Ptarmigan is from Gaelic 'tarmachan' meaning "croaker". The p- was added when people mistakenly assumed it was a Greek word.
